The Apartment
There is a full Kitchen, a dining and lounge area with sofas, chair, dining table, and television. The stairs lead up to the bedrooms and bathroom. The main bedroom has a double bed, and there is another sleeping area which is the large landing at the top of the stairs.
The bathroom has a toilet and bidet, and a modern large shower unit and system, and a bath. From the Lounge, you access the Terrace out through the main door, where there is a large dining table overlooking the inner courtyard. The apartment is tastefully and simply decorated throughout in order to maintain its natural charisma. However, pictures throughout the apartment are particularly fascinating, as they are representative works of a local professional photographer. There is also airconditioning upstairs in the sleeping areas.
Access and Environment
The apartment is on two levels. It is of a simple, effective layout in a historic building in Trastevere. There are main security doors leading to the internal door to the apartment. The street is not a thoroughfare and is for local traffic only, of which there is very little. The apartment is on the 3rd floor, with no lift, but access is via a circular stone staircase, which is easy enough for most people.
The Location
Trastevere is of course one of the most sort after areas to stay for both Romans and visitors. For the visitor there are many different restaurants within 50 metres of the front door, and another 100 metres will find many more restaurants catering to all sorts of tastes. A few hundred yards gets you to Campo dei Fiori, Piazza Navona, and the Vatican.
