The Apartment
On the 4th floor (no lift) it has an upstairs and downstairs area, with an easy staircase between them. Upstairs is the bedroom, a double with wardrobe space. On the same level, there is a sitting room (with a sofa for sleeping) with big sliding doors out to the terrace.
Down on the main level there is a modern bathroom (with shower), a living area (again with a sleeping sofa) and a small breakfast/dining area. The kitchen is small but complete, with gas oven and hotplates.
Access and Environment
4th floor (European - 5th US). The access is direct from the street through large secure doors and up to the apartment. The stairs are in good condition and not particularly steep or difficult. Out onto the street, this is a quiet Piazza that sits between Via dei Coronari and P. Navona. There are no bars or clubs that draw people onto this area later at night and it is a pedestrian area with no through traffic.
The Location
The apartment is on Piazza Monte Vecchio (Between Via dei Coronari to Piazza Navona). Via dei Coronari is the most famous street in Rome for Antique Stores. Piazza Navona is popular for a huge number of reasons, including the architecture, scupltures, ambience, restaurants and activities that the location offers. It is described in every documentation on Rome, and needs no further introduction here. It is right in the heart of the Historic district.
Features
This is a very beautiful apartment that really would suit those people wanting to be in the heart of the historic centre but with a modern immediate environment - in this sense it is rare. The apartment has been rennovated very tastefully.
ParticularsThe two sleeping sofas are simply normal sofas that from which a very comfortable bed can by made by taking the backing cushions away, and putting sheets/covers on the base cushions. Although they are then like a normal size single bed, this is only for children.
